They were arguing minutes before an 11pm newscast

Paul: I’m not going to sit here night after night and put up with this shit. OK?
Ann: Night after night? Night after night?

Ann: You started it pal.
Paul: Let me tell you something, kiddo. You want Harold Greene you might get him.
Ann: Fine with me. Fine with me.
Paul: Oh is it really?
Ann: Good old Harold Greene.

[Stage manager: 30 seconds!]

Paul: You know, you go home and have a couple of shooters and i don’t know what the fuck happens, but you come back you’re not the same lady.
Ann: That’s not true.
