MSNBC may stream shows

Ouch, that piece of news might not be to the liking of companies like Comcast, who actually pay to keep channels such as MSNBC exclusive so you don’t wander off on that Internet thing and miss the commercials. MSNBC’s prez Rick Kaplan discussed his network’s blogging strategy and let it slip “what we’re edging toward is streaming our shows. I’ll probably get in trouble for saying that.” Yes he will, my guess: look for Comcast and the like to start a high pitch whining pretty soon

Roland Stedham might exit NBC6

Readers emailed me about a rumor that WTVJ’s chief met Roland Stedham may be leaving the station at the end of his contract. And he’s to take a job at another station, not in Florida. I guess that would be one reason to explain why there are so many weather dudes on TVJ. Oddly though John Gerard doesn’t have a bio on NBC6 site, unless I can’t find it because I need a GPS to navigate that site

Real Naked anchors … take 2

Hide the childrins ya’ll another naked anchor has poped up. The Palm Beach Post uncovered that WFLX-FOX29 10pm news anchor Claudia Shea posed for Playboy waaay back when she was in college in 1982 and just 19 years old. Station boss John Spinola blamed it on “youthful indiscretion” saying it didn’t affect Shea’s credibility as a newswoman. No word if she’ll do a report during the February sweeps on what it’s like to pose naked for Playboy.

Shaq’s wife joins WFOR

Shaunie O’Neal has joined WFOR-CBS4 and UPN33. She’ll be filing entertainment and lifestyle reports for both stations. Her “skillz” allegedly had to do with the hire, but somehow even a mosquito wouldn’t be able to convince me that was the reason she got picked :) . At least not the first reason
