#7 send, no more
I just saw a new promo on 7 where they invite viewers when they see news happen to take a photo with the cell phone camera and send it to news@wsvn.com. The slogan is “See it, snap it, send it to 7″ It is a sort of a citizen journalism like what we say with the BBC where people were sending photos and videos of the bombings.

Yes, a lot of the news stations are doing such an idea. MSNBC has been running promos for the “citizen journalists” and also here in NYC, WABC is doing the same as well.
good idea, but i think it will die fast.

Do not send in your videos for free. There is a new startup that will buy your camera phone pictures and videos and sell them or make arrangements for you. Go to mobiletracker.net for more information on the startup. Get paid for it!
