Great video from SeaChange, a company that specializes in Video On Demand server hardware. The video shows how your Video On Demand, or VOD for short, works. And it is also the same way TV stations are storing their video libraries in digital format instead of clunky big tapes, while making sure they don’t suffer a huge meltdown and lose all of their data in one hickup.
