6 with new graphics, officially

NBC6 have unveiled the new graphics and they look pretty awesome. Screencaps and videos, soon

1:15pm Update: Watching the recording now and noticed some things – besides the graphics being very sleek, the morning show has talent bump and there’s also a talent bump before weather for the meteorologist. 6 didn’t have talent bumps previously.

The bug in the lower right corner is much smaller although in the open it hasn’t changed from the previous horizontal version. New music for the morning show was introduced. I don’t know what it’s called so maybe someone more familiar with news themes will be able to tell us.

I have the DVR set to record the 5pm newscast and after we have some lunch here I’ll get some videos uploaded

Update 3:30pm: here are the videos
Morning news open – MPEG-1 format, 854×480 10MB
Noon weather talent bump – MPEG -1 format, 854×480, 5.7MB
Noon “NewsNet” open with Breaking News bump – MPEG-1 format, 854×480, 16MB
Today In florida Talent bump – MPEG-1, 854×480, 6MB
6PM Talent Bump – MPEG-1 format, 854×480, 7.5MB
6pm Close MPEG-1, 854×480, 16MB

7′s Martin Amado now on TeleFutura too

Martin Amado host and designer of WSVN’s twice-weekly segment ‘Room For Improvement” will also be seen on WAMI-69/Telefutura network hosting a segmen called “Hands At Work”, which will air at 7pm on Firdays during the “TeleFutura en Vivo y Directo”.

Most recently HGTV fans saw Martin hosting the hit series “Small Space Big Style” on the home improvement channel. And don’t panick he will continue his twice-weekly room improvement segment for WSVN

WNBC with new site, preview of what WTVJ’s might look like

(via LostRemote) WNBC have a redesigned website, hosted and maintained by IBS. IBS also handles NBC6.net and since both stations are owned by NBCU I think WTVJ’s site NBC6.net would look something like that too.

I think the video looks much better than the flash-based CBS which can’t be zoomed or watched in full screen

7News on track to a 4pm newscast

Anonymous emailer says that 7News have decided on what happens after Judge Judy ends its run with WSVN and moves to WPLG.
A half-hour 4pm newscast will be added, Geraldo At Large will air from 4:30pm to 5pm followed by the usual 5-to-7pm newscast.

When it was announced that 7 has agreed to cary Geraldo At Large, I took a shot at predicting that by keeping an option to move At Large from it’s current 12:30am slot WSVN will put it at 4:30pm instead when Judge Judy ends. Turns out I was right 100%. Congrats to me :D

Thanks to the tipster that send me the news, you didn’t leave an email
