VIDEO: Daily Show dogs WTWO weather commercial

Daily Show spoofs Indiana TV station

update: WTWO has responded, unoficially to The Daily Show with what’s supposedly an internal promo

That’s the weather promo:
Ok Jason I’ll let you have this on – it’s not that stupid, but I’m still not buying it. I like it in terms of pace and graphics, it’s simple, and not too cheap looking considering the market size. Good pace, not too slow. Still wouldn’t make me watch them more because of 15 years extra experience. I mean Brian Norcross is the shizzle here, and when I listened to him as Wilma was passing over he said the worst of had passed, 2 minutes later the roof tile started getting ripped one by one.

WPTV unphased by NBC woes

WPTV is the dream of probably every news director out there – beat the crap out of your competitor in ratings while your network is flunking in a major way. May sweeps are over with and WPTV is, again, number one as they have been since forever. Not only that, WPTV is the highest rated station in all of Florida sign-on to sign-off!

WFLX continues it’s funny streak in TV ratings, they mustered a #3 place in prime time thanks to Idol behind WPTV which was 2nd and WPEC 1st. WPBF should probably make at least some news because they have seen significant gaines in early morning and early evening newscasts.

7 almost bumps WLTV for #1

Tom jicha from Sun Sentinel has a nice summary of the May sweeps ratings. WSVN almost bumped WLTV – Univision from the spot for #1 station but it didnt happen so 7 is number one among English language stations sign-on to sign-off. WSVN, WPLG and WFOR were .2 ratings point of each other. Now that’s close!

SciFi gets a Pulse

SciFi channel has gone live with their broadband video channel called ‘SciFi Pulse’. It will feature full episodes of original SciFi series and movies, deleted scenes and interactive programming.

Oh so close to dumping cable, so close. Now if MSNBC would just put Countdown in MSN Video and Comcast stops forcing me to buy basic cable so I can have HBO I personally would be a happy camper.
