Calvin Hughes, currently a reporter and weekend anchor at KYW, the CBS affiliate in Philadelphia, will be replacing Mark Schumacher on 10′s morning newscast very soon. Before moving to KYW Hughes was the main anchor at WGCL, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta.

Schumacher is off mornings, he will take the place of Will Manso and Manso will go back to doing sports. Charles Perez has been oficially anonced as Neki Mohan’s new co-anchor
MSNBC has debuted a new graphics package today as expected by some. Not sure who did them, but they are very angular and look a lot like what CNBC had before they went 100% CGI on their lower thirds.
I saw the promo today for the new 4pm newscast on 7. Not surprisingly it’s called ’7News First At 4′ and as previously mentioned on this blog it will be a half-hour newscast followed by ‘Geraldo At Large’. WTVX Channel 34 in West Palm has converted their web site to CW already. Looks like the old template on the UPN/CBS stations but very green!
