Now the time bug has been slightly redone with more rounded corners and some bevel.
Also the tease for the 11pm newscast has a whole new look, different from the 10pm, and it may be what the new opens will look like.
I didn’t watch a peep from election coverage on any station, local or cable too busy catching up on SciFi and podcasts. But I did check out their sites.
CBS4.com was the first place I checked for results – and it kind of became my favorite stop to keep an eye on what’s up as I watched SciFi channel on the side.
Local10.com also had an easy to find straight forward way displaying election results.
WSVN.com … well it looked really half-assed effort with some tiny links to government sites for the election results! Not cool.
And then there’s NBC6.net. I tried playing ‘where’s the link’ a couple times and just gave up. Even on my 21″ LCD monitor I got eye strain trying to find what I was looking for. I liked their site initially but now … not so much.
MSNBC and Yahoo on the other hand did a great job. On the local level KING5.com left me thinking they were the most dedicated to election coverage for the web.
What about you? Did you use the web or TV for your election info? Who did you watch? Mouth off in the comments
Caught some of the 11pm newscast promos on 6 and I think they’ve started calling it ‘South Florida Tonight’ instead of NBC6 News at 11
The 10pm teaser tonight had a whole new look.
Lots of CGI, a magnified 7 logo for the background done in a black/red/blue gradient.
Earlier in the day they debuted new graphics for the web site which look very similar to the teaser so I think it’s definitely a sign of things to come very very soon

Hal Boedeker from the Orlando Sentinel also confirms that WKMG
reporter Vanessa Medina is coming to WSVN. According to him Medina will be an anchor/reporter.
Her last day at WKMG is December 9 and she’ll be on-air at WSVN soon after that.
She began her career in the TV business working as a producer for a variety of segments at WTVJ, WSVN and WFOR.

Someone posted in the comments that ex-WSVN meteorologist
Tom Johnston is now working at WFTX-FOX4 in Ft Myers as their chief meteorologist. He’s apparently been there since August 2006
Johnston was fired from WSVN last year when he and colleague Jonathan Novak got into an argument over work schedules with Johnston allegedly grabbing or hitting Novak.
