Janine Stanwood is in Cancun with ABC News crew to report on Hurricane Dean. She will be reporting live for Good Morning America and ABC News as well as local ABC affiliates.
Her name is Cynthia Demos and she’s currently at WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando. I’m told it’s all but confirmed she’ll be taking over for Joy Purdy who’s leaving to be with her husband in Jacksonville. Thanks tipster
Not sure why but CBS4 has dispatched Brian Andrews and crew to Houston to cover the tropical storm there. He’s filing reports today. I think so far they’re the only local news crew sent there.
And of course if Dean stays on track for the Yucatan look for everyone to send their crews there.
