Reed and Nicole are too good and will move up eventually. CBS Newspath is not necessarily a promotion. 7′s whole style is a disease, and audience does not equal good journalistic practice.
Yeah, during the Shawn Labeet story, when it was the Breaking News bits, I think it was Reed, he would always say, “Yeah, your live on Channel 7 News right now” even if NBC and CBS and ABC wasn’t live. Also, Reed did a report for Studio B or C with Shepard. Thought you guys should know… But, as far as Joel leaving, he is a great reporter, and he’ll be missed!

WSVN may not be number 1 but it is not at the bottom like WFOR and WTVJ. WSVN has the best and most familar news team out there. Asfor the mistakes we are all human and all make them from time to time. Good luck Joel and you will be missed.
Chuck- What are you talking about? Are you getting Joel Brown confused with some other reporter in this market? He’s amazing at what he does. He’s by far, the best reporter at Ch7. I agree with Yikes, he’s as good as a “Gary Nelson.” Nelson is good. Strong, accurate, and comes across like his sincere.
Joel though, he’s one of the best @ 7. The guy can write, he’s on top of his game, and deserves this Network position. Good luck Joel! Don’t let some of these telepromter directors hate on ya!

the rumor around the newsroom is that he’s engaged to that pretty girl from ch.4. although, i don’t think she’s there anymore. not sure. she may have moved (recently?) which explains why joel is leaving.

yeah i have known him since he was in Texas but he was cool but I only watch WSVN for 1 reason and that reason shows up in the morning and the reason is the sexy Luanne Sorrell.
