Video from WHDH Gustav coverage going into break.
The live shot of the levee included a train car with the words “I fuck till my dick hurts” sprayed on it and clearly visible right under the lower 3rd graphic.

First off, i know this is old. If you’re ever in Mobile, Alabama, please say hello to theor me! I really can’t get over the fact that they would air this. No matter how slow of a news day it is, this is just not news worthy. Perhaps this is why so many people now-a-days hate local news. Make sure to catch the “Amateur Sketch” at 0:45.
They call it NBCU: College Edition. College kids get to play NBC6 TV news anchor at WTVJ. Wannado City called, they’d like their attraction back. Just kidding. I really is a great oppertunity for these soon-to-be anchors and reporters. Most of them you can tell are new and really don’t have an idea of what to do, but others you can really see potential. Watch their 30 minute “fake” newscast here.
It looks like WSVN have finally gotten around to add some better tools to the hurricane section on WSVN.com
They added an animated radar map, done in flash and using Microsoft Virtual Earth. And hurricane tracker map, also in flash, providing projected path and
Both the radar and hurricane trackers are by MyWeather LLC, the online weather solution part of WeatherCentral which provides on-air weather graphics solutions for TV stations.
I believe WSVN switched to WeatherCentral’s HD offering recently as part of their transition to HD.

Tipsters were going through the jobs section on the WSVN website, and noticed that
they need an operator for Master Control Harris Automation system. Is WSVN going Automated?
CWSFL is now the new “SFL”. Check out their new website design. Looks nice, but i have yet to see an on air logo with with new “SFL” design. Check out the new site here.
Hetal Gandhi, a WTVJ NBC6 general assignment reporter, is not only gone, but has been gone for a few months. Now, general assignment reporters like this come and go all the time. So what makes her so special? Good ol’ Tisha-Diva-Lewis. Lets get into a little background about Hetal. Hetal had great contacts with police and was always breaking stories, something NBC6 doesn’t do very often. Many people thought she was one of the best at the station. She always came in with story ideas every day. That’s why, when she asked for more money, and was denied, people were shocked. Hetal decided she was not earning enough at WTVJ, so she left. Then, good-’ol-Tisha was renewed almost the same week Hetal left. You see, Tisha has been a problem since she arrived, but for some reason, she’s untouchable.
It’s no secret at WTVJ that DeMarco Morgan is well liked by the NBC6 News Director. So it’s not a surprise that we have received multiple tips this week that he will be anchoring this seasons hurricane coverage along with Jackie. An alleged memo was sent out to the folks at NBC6 In a alleged managers meeting last week, it was allegedly said that “if Hanna hits, he will be anchoring along with Jackie” and that “he brings years of experience to the desk which will prove valuable in local news coverage.” Really? The ratings are dropping on every show he is anchoring, and this is a smart idea…how? The ND loves to show him off, even though he’s just not ready. He is new to this game, don’t push it WTVJ.
By the way, on a completely separate note, this post is the 1,600th post on SFLTV. Congrats, and thanks to everyone who are loyal fans of the site. Thanks for making SFLTV what it is today.

Hanna, Ike, and Josephine
Well, three are brewing out there and looks like some may be heading our way. Hanna, just downgraded to a tropical storm, doesn’t know exactly where it wants to go. Ike and Josephine are “areas of concern” and look like they may head our way. So my South Florida neighbors, be prepared so you’re not out at 2AM the night before the storms expected landfall like i always am. Of course, i know everyone can’t wait for that fearplex news that will lead us to belive the world is ending. We’ll see what happens. Stay safe!
