Just saw a promo on 7 for their “sizzling new segment” called “The Download”.
It will feature crazy videos from the web (read painting elephants, farting cats etc…) you’ve (probably) seen a million times before if your web diet consists of a lot of YouTube, Revision3, Digg and other such…
Mooses on the loose, cats on trees and dogs skateboarding not included.
And while they’re at it maybe they’ll kill that Seen on the Scene cheez. Really. You put the energy into this crap but won’t do anything about decodrive.com? Sheesh
The Download makes its first run tomorrow night at 10pm fronted by Louis Aguirre.

update 04/02: first segment aired last night at 10pm and had only one “sizzling” video

I’m not positive but if I remember correctly, 7 here in Boston did this segment for awhile when they first starting do the news at 10, when they still used the WSVN graphics. I know I’ve seen a segment before called The Download and I’m pretty sure it was on 7, if someone can back me up on this I would appreciate it.

Correcto Andy, this is a segment (same graphics too) that our 7News here in Boston has been running since last year on 7News at 10.

anyone else getting sick of the tired old re-used segments coming from boston (whdh)??? it seems like more and more segments produced in one station are airing in the other…same goes for sweeps pieces…its cheap and we as viewers are being cheated…

more and more WSVN feels like readheaded stepchild of Sunbeam. And it came first. It’s like the parent is making the older sibling wear the younger one’s clothes. Yeesh

7 Miami produces plenty of material that gets shipped off to Boston. I would dare to say alot more than Boston provides for Miami.
