WSFL Gets New News Director
SunSentinel reports a new news director has been found for WSFL.
Her name is Kerri Cavanaugh and most recently she was the senior executive producer at WFTS in Tampa, Florida. The Sentinel says she helped bolster the ratings of WFTS’ morning newscast and also won a Murrow award last year for breaking news coverage.
Kerri Cavanaugh takes over for Jose Suarez who was let go from WSFL recently when the station began making changes in the direction of their morning newscast. She has been at WFTS since 1999 and prior to that worked as a news producer at WPEC in Palm Beach from 1996 until 1999.
Kerri Cavanaugh begins her new job at WSFL on November 23rd.
