Five years after leaving the local news scene Brian Andrews is returning to TV news and WFOR CBS4. A Friday afternoon email from WFOR news director Liz Roldan went out announcing Andrews is back with the station and will be reporting for the “special projects unit”.
Brian Andrews left WFOR in November of 2007 and moved to Bogota, Colombia where he lived for several years before returning.
First day at WFOR is Monday. Sadly, however, the beard will not be making an appearance.
Anyone else go far back enough to remember when Rick and Suds ran Andrews off WIOD, for being the twit he has always been?
Twit? I don’t think so. WFOR did fine with him. They just need him back.

Natalia has been doing AM live shots and filling in at the anchor desk in the mornings.
He looks fantastic! I am a bit surprised none of the better stations in town didn’t snatch him up first. Definitely their loss.
He is very talented, but I thought he could do better than this market!

has anyone ever noticed how creepy he is. He just loves to show off on TV. bring it down a notch Brian. You’re good but your show boating during Katrina in New Orleans was embarrassing for you and made it seem liek you were focussed on showing yourself on TV and not the real story of people suffering and dying.
I’d expect an attack like that from NBC6 who has nothing better to do than harp on the guy’s live shots from years gone by under the most extreme of conditions. Has anyone done anything memorable on NBC6? Can’t seem to remember people talking about ANY of your talent. We’re SUPER happy to have Brian back from Latin America.
U have no proof about the allegations u r talking about. U want people to snitch for 25k. How long will it take for them to see the money. It will be years. U r selling a d.ream. I am sure CBS only brought him back since their ratings have sucked, They let talented people get away so they hae to try to get others in. I quit watching CBS when they got rid of Jawan Strader for that Barbie Bimbo and Ken they have in the mornings now. Sorry morning team.
I just saw Brian on CBS4. Glad to see him back in Miami. He is a very good reporter and I am very happy to see him again. Good luck Brian and welcome home.
Its 70 degrees out and he’s wearing a scarf? He appears to be a bit like Anderson Cooper. Not very good.
