If you watch South Florida local news on a regular basis, you’ve no doubt seen the live shot-interrupting asshole who goes by the name of “Lyrikill.” Well, according to a NewsBlues.com tipster, WSVN is allegedly being sued by the music legend for alleged ”mental distress;” after he claims he was chased by a baseball bat-wielding live truck operator, after screwing up and interrupting a report by Dianne Fernandez. How much is he asking for his severe “mental distress?” A modest 35 thousand dollars. Funny; I always thought you needed brain cells in order to claim “mental distress.”
Check out his MySpace page for multiple videos of him nearly getting his ass kicked by reporters, live-truck operators, and cameramen.
The music superstar… rapper… performer... Errrr, “Lyrikill,” who prides himself on preforming at local South Florida middle schools, can be seen chasing down and interrupting live shots on your local South Florida station of choice.
Check out one of his forced and free advertisement after the jump.

Breaking news, according to multiple SFLTV.com sources: Jose Suarez, the current news director at WSFL and SouthFlorida.com/LIVE, was apparently let go from WSFL. According to our tipsters, Suarez was allegedly escorted from the building late last week at 3AM, and hasn’t returned since. Suarez is a former WTVJ employee, who left NBC6 for the position of news director at WSFL.
Some details are still not confirmed, such as the actual reason why he was “escorted from the building,” however, we are still looking into it. SFLTV tried contacting Suarez, and have yet to receive a response. We’ll keep you updated.

This Tuesday, NBC’s 4-hour long morning show, TODAY, recently upgraded to a brand spankin’ new graphics package. ‘NBC Artwork’ kept quiet (and busy) developing the new and fresh. There was no leak or speculation of a new look (from what we can find).
In addition to the new look, TODAY has also started a new campaign, titled “Your Day is TODAY.” They released the new promo to help kick off the campaign. The apparent mission of this campaign is to celebrate the relationship between the TODAY show, and the TODAY show viewer, according to Bill Hartnet, who is the Senior Vice President of NBC Agency: East Coast. Get it? We’re all one big happy family.
