Soon WFOR will get a new paint job if you will. The CBS-owned station is set to receive a graphics make over as CBS is rolling out a new graphics package to all of its owned station. KYW and WCBS were some of the first CBS-owned stations to get the new look and WFOR will get it by the time November sweeps kick in.
The news geeks might notice that some elements in the graphics look similar to the graphics package NBC rolled out to its owned stations, known as Look F, and currently used by WTVJ.
At noon today WSVN went live with a brand new virtual weather set. They had Chief Meteorologist Phil Ferro come in and intro the new digs. It looks very futuristic, and the huge circle 7 on the ground is gone and most of the presentation is on a virtual video wall, save for the 7Stormtracker maps which appear full screen on TVs. A new weather bumper also came with the changes.
With the giant circle 7s gone from the newsplex as it got decked out for election night WSVN equipped Blake Burman and Mike Marza with animated mic flags that displayed a rotating video of circle 7 and Vote ’12. Brand reinforcement all the way!
