7News testing parts of new graphics

Tipster wrote in to say 7News is testing parts of the new graphics.
Today at noon they showed new full screen graphics, which are still red, but include a lot more glass effects and have more dimension to them. Couple days ago at the start of the 10pm show they slipped in for just a few seconds what looked like a new lower 3rd that was quite large, and retained the fonts they use now.

Testing increments being the operative words here, I have no info on when they’ll release them.

Mike Kirsch Arrest: Lawyer says witnesses contradict officer; audio with officer cussing

More details from the Herald today.
According to Mike Kirsch’s lawyer, Michael Tien, witnesses are contradicting the police officer’s version of events and a yet unreleased audio tape has the officer cussing although it’s not clear if that was directed at Kirsch or at his u-turn or what. The police officer allegedly walked towards Mike’s car cussing and he got out to calm her down which is when the whole altercation happened.

Tien also says Kirsch almost got tasered but police backup arrived in time and prevented that from happening.

MyNetworkTV Hemorrhaging

Newscorp’s MyNetworkTV is losing something like $2 million a week according to the Wall Street Journal! Ouch! And then there’s the dismal ratings, reportedly as low as 0.5 ratings points and 2% share, so naturally Newscorp has started tweaking the programming to try and stop the bleeding.

MediaWeek reports that as of March 8 MNTV is removing some of the soaps and replacing them with martial arts competition on one night and two nights of movies.
