WPLG anchor/reporter Rob Schmitt has parted ways with the station as of yesterday, he left for a job in Los Angeles at CBS affiliate KCBS. Schmitt anchored the weekend evening newscasts on WPLG alongside Jen Herrera and reported during the week.

An update to Rob Schmitt’s arrest. Case dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence, if I understand the terminology correctly.
His bond was discharged, the pre-trial canceled. He was charged with a misdemeanor but court records show the case was dismissed with “No action”.
