Thanks for the memories. TV news has changed dramatically in the last fifty years. I still have fond memories of growing up watching Ann Bishop, Glenn Rinker, Molly Turner, Art Carlson, Ana Azcuy and all of the wonderful talent that made WPLG “the one to watch”.
Let’s not forget Ron Hunter, the guy they brought down from Buffalo when they first made the big investment in news at WPLG. He took the job for Florida’s preferred divorce laws, then got a job at WMAQ and left rather quickly. He was the first NewsWatch anchor here.
