DTV Transition Delay Axed. Maybe

The House of Representatives failed to pass a bill delaying the DTV transition until June 12, instead of the scheduled February 17.

The House failed to get 2/3 majority vote in favor of the delay as per special rules they adopted for the vote.

  1. Poor Granny. Sad, but true. It’s a case of a fairly simple thing turned into a complete fiasco of misinformation and convoluted advice.

At any rate, I’ve heard that they’re going to vote again next week, so we’ll see. No matter to me, as I’ve been 100% digital for a while now and I’ve never looked back.

So if the delay goes through, Granny has until June until she fries her remote in the microwave. Heh.
