Tipster wrote in to say 7News is testing parts of the new graphics.
Today at noon they showed new full screen graphics, which are still red, but include a lot more glass effects and have more dimension to them. Couple days ago at the start of the 10pm show they slipped in for just a few seconds what looked like a new lower 3rd that was quite large, and retained the fonts they use now.
Testing increments being the operative words here, I have no info on when they’ll release them.

How long have they been teasing us?!?!?! they’ve changed small things here and there instead of just coming out with the whole package they basically using two graphic packages!

as i’ve said here before…when dealing with wsvn…its quicker and more interesting to watch paint dry or grass grow than it is to anticipate their gfx pkg…
although i’m pretty sure its close…
stop waiting for it and one day you’ll be surprised

Their look is all over the place. The new stuff is very nice, but they continue to use some really old graphics as well. Isn’t someone in charge of overall continuity?

For the record, Shomari Stone is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. He has survived in this cut-throat, heartless, back-stabbing business for 10 years, and he continues to succeed.
I have talked to him out in the field a few times and I can see why WFOR renews his contract over and over. While other reporters are taking breaks, yapping on their cell phones, flipping through the latest fashion magazine, Shomari is walking up and down a block in the hot sun, searching for that interview. He gets “THE GET,†and then the other reporters are left, explaining why they missed the interview to their news directors.
Here’s what’s funny?. They then start hating Shomari. But all he does is smile, walk away, jump in his car, and drives home to his wife and kids. Man, I wish I had that guys discipline and determination.
Shomari keep reaching for the stars! Ignore the hateful competition.
