WPEC successfully debuted their high definition news today at 5pm. New on-air look, new moniker, new music, new studio all in hot HD vision. Plus a refreshed website . And even energy efficient LED lighting!
WFLX will join in on the HD fun too since their newscast is produced by WPEC and originates from the same studio and at 10pm tonight Fox29 News at 10 will be in HD as well. Fox29 is getting a new look too, they’ve adopted the graphics package from Murdoch’s O&O stations.

OMG, that means they’ll probably get that Fox O&O theme by OSI Music. FYI, WFLX is a Raycom-owned station. I thought only Gari themes were to be used on Raycom stations.

WPEC actually commissioned a custom news package from Airtime Production this time around, ending the Gari era on that station as well after 25 years.
