NBC Miami weekend anchor, Amara Sohn, will be filling in all week on NBC’s “Early Today” which airs weekdays at 4 AM, and then she’ll be anchoring MSNBC’s “First Look” which airs weekdays at 5 AM. This coming after an announcement on her Facebook page when she just posted her status update:

“During Sunday’s 6 p.m. newscast, Amara Sohn received a personal greeting on-air from an oversized fly.
The insect decided to land right on the tip of Amara’s nose while she was reading the news.
Amara said she didn’t realize how big the fly was until she saw the video. [...]
This bumpout has been running on NBC6 for a while now, and thanks TMBtD, is now on YouTube.
Very…flashy. I like it. In addition, new promos for Amara Sohn and Sharon Lawson are running during the weekend. Still looking for them.
The new anchor changes take effect this week. DeMarco Morgan’s last day is Wednesday.

With Demarco Morgan off to NYC, that leaves an open anchor spot at NBC6. The new line is:
