Julie Durda

On Saturday WPLG meteorologist Julie Durda threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Marlins vs Mariners game. And aced it. Shortly before that she spent a few hours with Marlins pitcher AJ Ramos learning to warm up, exercise and how to throw the ball well. And apparently he thought her well.

Despite all the training and warming up though, Julie says she was sore after the throw and had to ice her arm. But at least it was worth it. Also, the Marlins beat the Marines

WPLG morning meteorologist Julie Durda will be throwing the first pitch at the Marlins vs Mariners game on Saturday. Yesterday she spent some time at Marlins Park with team pitcher AJ Ramos getting tips on what to do to get ready for her big day.

And well, a girl who can pull a Smart cart by rope and flip a huge tracktor tire, can probably throw little a ball. Guess we’ll find out on Saturday at 7pm.
