Bryan Garner Leaving WPTV For FPL

WPTV Treasure Cost bureau chief Bryan Garner is leaving the station and the TV news business to join FPL. He penned a long goodbye note for TCPalm.com announcing his departure from the station.

Bryan Garner joined WPTV in 2002 as a reporter covering the Treasure Coast and also managed the station’s Port St. Lucie and Stuart bureaus. Prior to that he was at WPEC from 1997 until 2002. Garner says he is joining Florida Power & Light where he will “… will help the company communicate with its employees and customers”.

His last day with WPTV is this Friday.

  1. everybody leaving wptv. whats going on. they had the best news talent in palm beach,now they are the worst.i think some of them beening push out.

  2. Bran G. was wonderful and will be sorely missed. I’m wondering also who will go next?? Still trying to figure out why Laurel left all of a sudden.

    the once respected station has become a laughing stock.

    they (staff) are all so arrogant –steve weagle, is repulsive, as are the other weather guys.

    roxanne needs to go also–her day has long come and gone–the camera can no longer hide all of her wrinkles–anf the horrible eye makeup she wears makes every day seem like halloween
