WPBF Now in HD


Long time coming, but as of yesterday WPBF are broadcasting in high definition. Out of the big four affiliates in Palm Beach, they are the last station to make the HD transition. The newscasts received a refreshed open but the rest of the graphics are the same though there are still some graphical elements that are in 4:3 format, like the ‘WPBF 25 Exclusive” bump

  1. Also today they started using the time/temp bug that all Hearst stations use, not the one in the image above.

  2. But are they doing like WPLG and shooting field video in HD? Lots of stations have HD-capable field cameras, but shoot almost exclusively in 16:9 SD, for variety of reasons.
