This weekend WSVN started airing a new, and of course very dramatic promo, giving viewers a hint that “something big” is coming up.

That something of course is the refreshed Newsplex they’ve been working on for the past month or so. Along with the studio renovations, a new and very bold on-air look will debut as well, small parts of which are already rolled out throughout the newscasts.

Check out the promo below:

  1. They’ve been working on it since like the 2nd or 3rd week of January. I think the first or second week of March is when they’ll finally reveal it.

  2. Glad to see they are not resting on their laurels. They lost one of their top reporters and anchors this past month so only sweeps will give the tale of the tape adjustment ratings. 10 use to be aggressive and top shelf but has faded dramatically over the past year. 6 is middle of the road while 4 has made much improvement. Cannot get sweeps numbers so nothing is set in stone. We are a very diverse society so news sources are very competitive for attention.

    • 10 is the one that does not care about sweeps ratings otherwise they would not still have the two worst reporters, Torres and Acosta, still on their payroll. They are a joke!

  3. 7 will ALWAYS be overall top in the market. They appear to enjoy working with each other, have fun and can be serious when need be.

The new set is just icing on their cake!

10, 6 and 4 can try to be 7 all they want – their wasting there time.

When you get rid of great talent like Michael Smith, Scott Padget and shuffle people like Kristy, demote Trent to bring in a horrid Betty and make her Chief Meteor – and what’s this weekend gal who can’t do a 5 minute spot without stumbling??

WSVN / 7 – you’ll always be the news leader. The rest of ya, get used to being 2nd, 3rd and last place
