Jennifer Valoppi out?
Rummor, at least for now, she was told NBC6 doesn’t want her anymore and will not be renewing her contract. If true, her last day at NBC6 is Dec 3rd

SIGNING OFF
WTVJ-NBC 6’s Jennifer Valoppi, a South Florida anchor since ’94, will leave the station in December. Contract not renewed.
”Time to move on,” says Valoppi, 45. “No hard feelings.”
Valoppi is founder/prez of the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, which works with at-risk girls in public high schools in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. She hopes to take it national.
Valoppi’s husband, Christian de Berdouare, 48, owns Chicken Kitchen, with 35 locations from Pinecrest to Florence, S.C., and 50 planned for Georgia, Texas, California and Arizona. They have two boys, 5 and 7.
Valoppi says her broadcast career is not over.
“There’s no question I’m going to continue to do television. There are discussions going on at the local and national level.”
UPN33 morning news show ratings
MediaWeek had a blurb on the new UPN33 News morning show, and their recent expansion from a half hour 10pm newscast to 1 hour, noting that the recently debuted UPN33 News This Morning has the dismal average rating of 0.4 points 1 share vs WSVN’s 4.6 pt/15 share. For reference 1 ratings point equals 15496 households
