Joel Connable, anchor and consumer reporter at NBC6, has been laid off from WTVJ. According to very new information, Joel was laid off yesterday as part of a new round of cutbacks at WTVJ. We are hearing that WTVJ’s chief meteorologist Paul Deanno will be heading to Seattle. He will be the morning meteorologist at KOMO, the ABC affiliate.
Interesting development since recently word got out that KOMO’s current morning meteorologist Jim Castillo may be leaving the station.

Several tipsters are telling us that Jim Robinson, WFOR’s first video journalist a.k.a. the mojo (mobile journalist) is out. He joined WFOR from WXMI in June 2006. We don’t know if there are any layoffs happening at WFOR but other CBS-owned stations have been further reducing staff recently. More as we get it
Jennifer Gray, NBC6′s weekend meteorologist is leaving WTVJ. A fan favorite from the start, she has decided to leave in a week. She is allegedly going back to her old station in Louisiana, KTBS. She has apparently decided to leave to be closer her family and boyfriend. Best of luck, Jen!
